Renewableenergy107 / Hydroelectric Energy
The production of electricity by using the energy of constantly moving water is called hydroelectric energy. The kinetic energy generated during the reduction of the potential energy that occurs during the fall of water from a certain height or its rapid flow to a low level is converted into electrical energy with suitable turbine-generator sets. The most important difference of hydroelectric energy is that water can be stored in dams and electricity can be produced when needed, regardless of the change in meteorological weather conditions such as sun or wind.
